Neighborhood Patrol: Nancy Bennett requested that Neighborhood Patrol be the first item on the agenda, as she was leaving early. Lyn Bucho and Nancy Bennett volunteered to Co-Chair the Patrol Committee. A patrol class will be held on July 19, 2003 from 8:00a.m.- 4:00p.m. at the North Phoenix Baptist Church. Kerry Melcher offered to put a flyer together announcing the class and Lyn Bucho agreed to deliver it. Lyn Bucho stated the Phoenix Police Department will attend our next Board meeting on August 5, 2003 to discuss Block Watch and Neighborhood Patrol.

Diverter: Greg Bonderud agreed to be the Committee Chair for the diverter at Third Street and Colter. Greg will contact the City to verify: 1) how long we will have the diverter, and 2) what we can do as neighbors to assure its permanence. ItÌs GregÌs opinion that the neighbors on Colter were very happy with the diverter.

Light Rail: Kerry Melcher did not attend the Light Rail meeting on June 5, 2003.

Treasurers report: Douglas Harter presented the Board with a current listing of members who have paid dues for the years 2002 and 2003. Forty-seven households have so far paid for 2003. We currently have $2,539.70 in the CCNA bank account. Douglas Harter will provide Lynn Morrow with the current statement of income and expenses and Lynn will post on the website. Douglas still working on the tax exempt status.

Fundaising: It was discussed interacting more with our neighbors and the importance of raising funds for the diverter and other pending projects. We talked about the possibility of commercial donations. Nancy Bennett wrote a few of her surrounding neighbors notes requesting dues.

Newsletter: Greg Bonderud and JB Runyon will write articles for the August newsletter.
Fundraising and the diverter are on the priority list.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
